Default windows media player problem

im facing a strange problem, when i am clicking on the windows media player icon it doesnt open nor does it open from the root file and im using vista and the wmp is ver 11. i have scanned my pc for virus with avg but no success... pls anyone help me. even when i insert a disc it doesnt play

it was a trojan in wmv, detected by kaspersky. Issue resolved. Mods pls trash the thread
