Default windows x64 bit edition


hi guys , i have a Windows x64 bit Edition win service pack 2

is there any patch for this windows so that i can install 32 bit application??

some 32 bit apps can be installed and have a separate Program Files folder
but some cannot be installed

pliz help

thanks in advance

processor is AMD X2 64bit 4200+ with K9N Ultra 2F board

Yes some or should i say Most of the apps have compatibility problems with Xp x64, I would recommend to use Vista 64 bit instead.

its very hard to find 64bit compatible games...if gaming is ur need xp 32 bit is the way to go...

^^ That's enough amount of ram to run xp 64 bit edition - you can even try running vista x64 with sp1 - provided you have a good gfx card

Thats the basic required ram for x64 & you wont have any real benefit using x64 system until you have 4GB-12 gb of ram.

If you run applications that can use more than 2gb of ram per process only then its worth going to x64 else you will find it slower than ur 32 bit OS.
