how to remove virus manually

hello friends my lappy has been infected with tht deadly virus named brontok it has disabled my task manager,reg editor and folder options has been disabled, kindly the link on how to manually remove tht virus, all antivirus internet security suite have failed to remove tht virus.running kill process in process explorer does not help.

Perform these steps at ypur won risk. Plz take the backup of your regisrty before doing so....!

1. Delete the following files if present
%windir%\pif\cvt.exe
%windir%\INF\inf31.exe
inf31.exe
IDTemplate.exe
%windir%\Application Data\IDTemplate.exe
%profiledir%\Local Settings\Application Data\GavGent.B
IDTemplate.exe
%mypicturesdir%\about.Brontok.A.html

2. Delete any Cookies by Brontok.A

3. Delete the following registry key
Brontok.A does not create any registry keys
And registry valyues
SystemGent
IDTemplates

Reboot your system and reboot if the problem prevails or not.

for removing brontok u can use updated version of NOD32, it does the task very well.
kaspersky online scanner http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner is also a very good resource for cleaning brontok.

If you want a free AntiVirus, then only go for avast or avira. www.avast.com

But still I suggest NOD32 or Kaspersky........
