Reinstalling xp :(

I m reinstallin xp now had prob signing in xp some rpc problem system restartin...went to ubuntu but that too prob not detecting harddrive containin xp . . . So cant backup my docs . . . . Moreover xp install stuck after copyin the files . . . Got to sleep . . . Goodnight hope it ll work tomorrow . .

Had to install it twice though but still havin prob . . Found out repair works well in installin . . Just have to keep in mind that when repair foot go for it the first time it asks 4 rep with Recov Consol cos it takes to Dos makin it hard . . When next rep asks go for it . . . Now i hav prob with install daemon tools and alcohol . . Error comes sayin Need to restart after previous install . . Plus i think there prob with Sp3 and autopatch . . Prob with Window Installer

I m really impressed with ubuntu live cd . . Backin up data from ntfs and removin virus files . . I want to try make xp live cd . . Read its possibl with bartpe . .
