Unhappy Not able to Browse

hello guys....

i m facing a strange problem from the past few weeks...

whenever i try to open a site after getting connected to internet....
the browser do not open it....
instead it displays an error "Cannot find the server...".

i confirmed that server was not down as i tried to open the site through adjacent friend pc, and was successful....

what should i do to resolve the problem..

i use IE 6.0 and Mozilla Firefox...

make sure the modem and network connection is configured properly in ur computer

I used to have the same problem using Tata Indicom Wimax. Its possible to solve this problem by turning off modem and turning onn again after a few seconds.

I hope you will be able to do the same if you are using Tata Indicom Wimax.

Reconnect the modem
Ensure firewall/security suite is not blocking traffic

I also faced similar problem...But when i refreshed 4-5 times it showed .
I did a complete virus and spyware scan, checked everything.............
didnt work so I just formatted and now it works
