Now the problem is when I install XP it shows my D drive as F, similarly Drives E,F,G are also displayed with different letters. After the installation of XP in drive D(which it shows as F) , i checked it in VISTA WHICH SHOWED THEM WITH CORRECT LETTERS (i.e from C to G) but again if i start my XP THEN IT SHOWS THE DIFFENT DRIVE LETTERS( D now is F in XP n others too get changed) PLEASE HELP ME GUYS HOW TO CORRECT IT!!

maybe your vista is not in c. Vista shows any partition it is installed in as C. So thats what causing all this confusion. what XP is showing is the real drive C.

Just put a good label on each volume and get it over with that way.
I've experienced this too, with Vista making whichever drive it is installed upon post XP its C.
