how to remove HDD write protection of acer laptop

pls any one help

i bought an ACER notebook a year back.
suddenly one day my os got damaged, i want to installed new one,
but it show an error " disk is write protected'
one of my friend told me to that it may be remove from BIOS but i nothing find in BIOS.

Pls help

USe GParted to remove all the partitions.

http://www.gparted.sourceforge.net

If it does not work, you'll have to take it to a service centre.
