viruses spread thru pen drives are mostly of common so any antivirus would be able to detect it...i recommend instead of changing ur AV, just try to update the avast virus database and make sure the default real time protection has been enabled for file scanning..

I'll say to buy NOD32 or Kaspersky AntiVirus.

If you don't want to buy then I'll recommend avast Home Edition over AVG Free.

^^

U shud hv this option turned ON (if any) please check the help file.

For a safer option, DO NOT double click on ur pen drive to open it, instead use the (windows key+E) a.k.a Windows Explorer to go thru checking ur pen drive, CDs, DVDs for files (or any other work for that matter) as it will prevent u from a virus "autorun.ini"

Btw, im using Avast Professional Edition and it has such an option to check drives and pen drives as soon as u open them

Cheers n e-peace....
