recover windows vista boot loader

hi i installed ubuntu on my harddisk with vista and xp preinstalled... as it happened i lost my vista boot loader after i formatted the linux drive... help me to recover my vista....

Boot using Vista Setup DVD and select option to Repair the installation. It'll repair the boot loader.

How about fixing MBR ?

AFAIK there is no option fix mbr or fix boot in Vista like in Xp.You have to chose Boot Repair option.Those commands are replaced by GUI
Why haven't you installed Vista?

^^ u can go into the dos prompt via the boot dvd and still use the 2 commands: fixmbr and fixboot

Boot up from Vista Installation DVD and select Repair your Computer.(its below Install Icon). Select Windows Vista and select Command Prompt.
Execute this

bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /fixboot

Close command prompt window and restart.

did for me, i used the dos option in the repair ur comp menu and then used the 2 commands it worked for me
