Default Shall I re-install Windows !!

recently i have change my processor from celeron to core 2 due 2.2 ghz on the same motherboard. windows recognized the new processor and just one driver installed automatically for the processor. the performance is slightly improved. is it necessary to re-install windows to get the optimum performance. my mobo is FOXCONN 45CM-S with 256 mb ddr2 ram with windows xp prof sp2.

i would like to change my mobo (mid price range) next month. wht mobo from intel / asus or anything else would be best for my procy.

No not really, if its working fine, then there is no need to re-install. I did the same thing except XP didn't boot and I had to repair it back then. It's working fine till now after 6-7 months.
