Default DVD & Defragger

Hi,

1. Can anyone tell me how to create Video CD/DVD using freeware/open source software?
2. Does anyone know of a freeware/open source software to defrag the MFT

Thanks in advance.

Regards

For 1: go here: http://www.doom9.org/

and under guides -> DVD Backup (Full Guides) -> MPEG-4 (DivX / XviD/ NeroDigital / x264).... You can choose whatever desired format you need the destination file to be and then write it on to a CD so that it can be readable with CD/DVD drives, if that is what you meant. Also, there you can download the free software Auto Guardian Knot.

I am sorry, I am only aware of non-freeware defragmenters.

To the best of my knowledge, none of the free defraggers can defrag the MFT. Try something like Diskeeper for defragging, it's really good, and can defrag the MFT and PF if you select the boot-time defrag option. Free trialware (30 days) is here: http://www.diskeeper.com
