Default video spliters


i converted a DVD into Divx format, now i want to split it, and i have to retain the quality too.

i googled for movie spliters, and tried few and i get this stupid JIT error.

suggest me some nice software preferably opensource.

i am not ripping any movie DVD. i shot the function in my college with my sony handycam.
