Talking What is difference between vista 32 bit and 64 bit ?

I have installed both windows vista ultimate 32 bit as well as 64 bit .But i am unable to grasp any difference .What is then difference between this 2 .Sometimes i do find win 32 bit to be more faster and many a games do not work in 64 bit ,but they say 64 bit is powerful . how ?

And they say that you need grater than 3 GB ram ,a QUAD processor ,grater than 512 mb video ram .ISN'T IT COMMONSENSE THAT EVEN IF A 32 bit operating system has this configuration ,it is going to perform like a Tiger. If 64 bit can perform same thing in a low spec then it should truly be call powerful then why this 64 bit hysteria ?

The basic difference between a 32 and 64 bit processor is about their capability of addressing the System memory. A 32 bit register present at a 32 bit processor can only address 2 to the power 32 addresses comply to 64 bit processor's capability of addressing 2 to the power 64 addresses. This capability reduces the memory mapping disadvantages of 32 bit processors and OS. Also a 64 bit OS has greater numbers of memory registers present at their disposal and that directly affect the code execution of the OS. But 64 bit has some disadvantages as well.

Please check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/64-bit for a detailed information.
