Which is the best video player ?
Well guys i am into seeing movies right now , i have some weeks before i will go back to studies anyway i want to know if there is good video player out there with EQ settings for movie, or i should just use winamp & DFX , also are videos played in power DVD look better than other players , is there any settings that i can modify (FFDSHOW settings etc) to make the movie look better ? please help me guys in this questions & thanks in advance.

For me WMP11 with Klite mega codec pack is best. You can also install DFX for WMP. But if you want something light and dont want to install any codec pack than use VLC player.

Vlc player doesn't have a EQ settings for movies i think , well i am using DFX the only thing it lacks is a preset for movies , i wish they provide it..

under XP VLC, media player clasic.
Vlc under VISTA plays only sound, not the picture.(i have no idea why)

in Linux also (according to me). it plays all formats. there are other players too but not as portable as vlc among different formats.

In Windows, use K-L Mega Codec Pack + Post Processing 200% in FFDSHOW video + Media Player Classic HTPC/MediaCenter Mod works the best.
In linux, Xine is the best.
Forget MPlayer.
VLC as a secondary Alternative in all OSes.
