HELP: Yahoo Messenger Script Error

Hi
Whenever I try to open a Yahoo IM window, or whenever someone sends me a message, an error pops up saying:

An error has occurred in the script on this page
Line ...
Char ...
Error Unexpected quantifier
Code 0
URL C:/some/temp/file -- this is a file in temp folder and it seems that name is dynamically generated as file name changes e.g. temp44 to temp45

"do you want to continue running scripts on this page" Yes/No

Either way it opens the IM window .... However, I cannot view any messages in the window .. not even the ones I write ... It remains absolutely blank ...

I think these all happened after i tried a plugin in it....
