Unhappy TratBHO Trojan

Yeah the above said trojan has infected my system. Keeps on manifesting itself in the form of .dll files which are duly detected and deleted by Avast Antivirus which I'm using but this regenerating of this Trojan is a mess. Tried Trojan Removar 6.6.5 but no to avail.
Any help guys

Update Avast.
Disable System Restore.
Run Disk Cleaner to delete past restore points.
Run CCleaner.
Reboot.
Schedule Boot-Time scan of your Avast.
If it doesnt help try GUIDE : Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal.

I'm always connected to the net so my Avast is automatically updated in terms of Virus Database and the program itself. Will let you know if it works.

Use NOD32 or Kaspersky. Also try Trojan Hunter.

Get Kaspersky Internet Security and forget about virus/spyware/malware etc..
Currently, NOD32 and Kaspersky are the best protections one could have.

Thumbs down Re: TratBHO Trojan

You can repair your computer manually, but this may mean searching your PC’s folders and registry for hours for Trojan.win32.BHO.aqz hidden files.follow these steps for manualy removing:
Method 1:
1. Open the registry editor. (Start>Run>regedit)

2. Find and delete the value name of the Trojan.

Note: You should make a backup of your registry just in case you make a mistake.

Edit: You shouldn't delete them if they're critical files to run your PC. See if your anti-virus can clean them.

Method 2:

1. Update your anti-virus.

2. Restart your PC in safe mode. (Start>Run>msconfig>Boot tab>Check safe mode)

3. Run a scan and remove.

4. Restart your PC in regular mode. (Start>Run>msconfig>Boot tab>Uncheck safe mode)

After removing it may possible that your windows is unstable. So try this command to restoring missing files again:

open the run window and type in "cmd" without the quotes, then type in the
"SFC /SCANNOW " without quotes.
you must have your windows inatallation cd.

if it will not work try this:

Start>Run then type in "services.msc" without the quotes. On the screen that appears scroll down until you come to 'Remote Procedure Call'. Have a look in the Status column and if the Service isn't started, right click on it and select 'Start'. .The default setting for RPC is "Automatic"
There is another service called "RPC Locator", and the default setting of this service should be "Automatic" not Manual. switched that service ON...... and that will solve the problem!

I think you are confused to manually remove this trojan.so you can try this:

download two great, free programs: SuperAntispyware Free Edition and Spyware Doctor Starter Edition available @ www.download.com.
Install, update, and run complete scans with both of these programs.
This should remove the trojan.
Normally, Avast can remove most infections, but since this is not a true virus (trojan) this might be causing the problems and a malware/spyware scanner maybe be better equipped to handle this infection.

After these scans, also you must go to an online malware scan and removal @ Trend Micro Housecall to double check. This will take care of your problem.

Good Luck!
