Exclamation Folder having big size

Recently i hav noticed my C: free space is very low.
So i check size of each folder on c: drive.

At last i found the folder with size 7 GB.
that folder was avg antivirus. Folder contains many files with .avg extension
and almost all files of size 55.5 MB.
Then i delected those files.Today when i update my virus defn. again that files are created.
I hav also scan my pc.

What is the solution on this?

Those are the updates of the antivirus. The folder size will definitely grow. Almost all the file size is around 55.5MB? I don't know about this. Even my C: is getting full nowadays. Windows updates+Antivirus updates bloating my system, apart from a game

Even the quarantined files are stored in this folder. You can delete those files

Updates won't take that huge space. Check ur virus vault after enabling "show hidden files and folders" and "show system protected files".

Oh, its the application data folder. You can remove those files. But what I wonder is how come these many files are created each day.

In case if anything goes wrong (which wont), you can reinstall AVG.

^^He is right..
do not remove the folder at first but do like this

rename the folder to some other name..or move the folder to some other place within the drive(coz it will not take time..)
then use AVG ..
check for other softwares
If all is fine delete the folder..if not simply rename to it's original name or move the folder to it's original location..
hope this will help u..
