Because you are using the world's most popular OS, Microsoft Windows. Now that's specific.

Do you have all the security patches installed? If yes then proceed as advised above

Its as specific it can get with the ammount of information you have provided... U definatelly have a malware infection... !!!! now u have not provided enough data to pin poiont which one exactly it is...

Now what is the purpose of asking the question ?? to try to solve the issue, right ?? so, already said, get your self a good avs, such as Kaspersky or NOD32, they come with 30 days full feature trial, use that to scan and remove the virus...

Few Tips,

Disable the System Restore while u scan for the virus !!! and scan in safe mode also

Its definitely Brontok or a similar variant ! It creates New Files (.exe) with Folder Icons. So the user thinks its a Folder and opens it. Thats how the Worm spreads very fast. Some other symptoms are Folder Options not there, or Regedit Disabled, Task Manager disabled, etc.

Download and run this tool :

Thanks for the reply s,
I think i got it under control? I ran spyware terminator and fixed up some junk ..I went and deleted a bunch of those folders and they have not come back ...However it's taking me forever to go thru and delete them all...i have 1000's of mp3s on my HDDs and 100s of pix.... I do have two kid brothers and who knows what my 16 year old bro is looking at on here ....LOL I told him to stay off the porn sites for they destroy your system...LOL

I hope i don't see this again...if so it'll be re-format time again.

and I am sorry for not providing enough info.....well as said updated the antivirus and did the scan to find that damn virus.

^^ If you just used the Removal Tool i gave, you wouldn't have to find them by urself. Anyways Im dead sure, that it'll come back and spread more. Its not that easy to get rid of.
