not able to update direct x

reinstalled xp with sp2 and dx version is 9.0b
i'an not able to update it to latest 9.0c(for xp)
tried the web installer fron ms and the redistributables on digit cd's
help me.i want to play time shift and it is not getting started.

I think windows XP Sp2 comes with directx 9.0c

start-->>run-->> type this command dxdiag -->>ok
Under system tab you can see what version of direct X is installed on your system.

never mind.sp2 was installed and the dirext x was only 9.0b
timeshift gave that file d3dx9_34.dll wwas missing.
reinstalled xp along with sp2.now all good.
