Ultimate Windows Xp Update Disc

Hi All!

I am making an Ultimate Windows XP Update Disc, which includes all patches, service packs, themes, addons, etc ever released.

I have Offlline Windows XP Update iso, Visual Studio 2008 Express, Zune, Vista, Final Fantasy themes for windows XP, antivirus and software utilities, etc.

Please suggest me 2.3 GB of stuff to be included in it.

nero always there in dvd drive driver cd.
wmp11 bloats system. Media Player Classic is better.
XP SP3 not fully released. that first iso is like autopatcher and includes service packs.

You are doing a good thing, but please check with MS Terms etc before you make the DVD, I mean whether all you listed can be bundled and re-distributed as per their terms.

Please do not think I am discouraging you, just thought of the legal side.

Did u intend to integrate those s/w with windows installation? U can do it with resource hacker.
Also include Mp skins, Autopather full pack, Custom HD Wallpapers, CPUz, GPUz, etc

@din: Its not for public distribution, just for me and some friends who need an extra disc with all the things to make a fresh windows install look good. I am just asking for help here as to what stuff must be included.

@aravind: I don't want to insult good software by placing them in the windows install CD. Also, I don't want piratred stuff in it.

no its not. I am just making a disc with all essential windows freeware. I don't intend to pirate paidware, but when it comes to redistribution problems, it won't occur unless I am publically releasing it. I am just sharing it among fiiends, who will(obviously) claim that they downloaded and burnt it themselves when microsoft asks them(in the unlikely event it may happen). And I think windows is not fit for being bundled with all this, as its still mistrusted by me and I want to be able to CHOOSE what to install in it.

Why do you need a guide? Just do the following:

1. Make A list of things you want windows to have or things you need.
2. Download/Obtain them.
3. Classify them into catogaries like games, themes, multimedia, office, etc.
4. Place them in folders and organise it neatly using the catogarisation you gave them.
5. Burn them in a DVD using Nero and make sure that you name the folders, the disc properly.
6. Write the disc name on the disc using a marker pen.
7. Or lightscribe it if you have a lightscribe writer and DVD.
8. Place this in a dvd case and print a cover for it if you can(or want to).
9. Make more copies of it(just use cheap no-name discs for these) and give to friends.

Hey bro what software are you going to use once i have created this type of cd what it does was when it get fully installed then it pop's up the softwares installer which can be done manully too

The following must be included
Winrar, AVG Antispyware,AVG Anivirus, free download manager, irfanview, locate32, magicdisc, powerdvd, truecrypt, regcleaner, visualcd, isobuster, pdfcreator, dotnet framework

You can't make it for your friends. It would be for you and only you with a legal key.

Secondly, you can integrate all hotfixes/updates/ie 7/wmp11 etc. into the windows installation. No need of separate install. You can also integrate the patched uxtheme.dll into installation so that as soon as the installation is over you can use a custom theme. Use nLite.

You may also wanna include 7-zip, AV, comodo firewall, codec packs, gimp, inkscape, messengers (yahoo/msn/gtalk/pidgin etc.), daemon tools, vmware server (or any other vm software), Windows powertoys, Windows powershell, VLC, hijackthis, some image viewer/manipulator, download manager, bonkencoder (for transcoding), system utilities (like cpuz, siw etc.).

Oh man. I was under the assumption that it automatically installs all of the software you mentioned while installing XP, like an XP live CD I had once used that had Winrar and Nero Essentials built in to it...

Damn... dude... don't insult me by giving a guide on burning a CD!!!

And how come those stuffs i mentioned be pirated?
And whats the point in simply ptting those s/w in he OS disc itself. Its not much different than a seperate s/w dics.

And by integrating means, as infra said, u can have all those s/w installed automatically as the windows gets installed.

And isn't burning many copies of OS disc nd distributing it to friends itself illegal? Coz each serial no. is for private use nd is licenced to use on only a single PC.

Nd using resource hacker is not illegal.
