Hibernation Problem!!

I have been using the hibernation option for a long time without any problems, now from some days when i resume the system from hibernation, i get the following error : -
The system restoration image is corrupt. Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu.
or somewhat similar..

That option is selected by default and on pressing enter the hibernation state is lost and the system restarts presenting with scandisk..

Can someone tell what sould be the problem and how to solve it?

I am running XP Pro SP2..

This can be easily fixed by following the steps mentioned below :

* Open the Windows Control Panel
* Double-click Power Options
* Click the Hibernate tab, de-select the 'Enable hibernate support' check box, and then click Apply.
* Restart your computer and hiberfil.sys will be automatically deleted.
* Once done, you can re-enable the hibernation by reversing the above mentioned steps.
