Default FireFox Problematic With Digit Forum

Hey ppl,
I have found that Mozilla Firefox 1.0.2 (and older versions too) have problem with Digit Forums. When i browse Digit Forums for a while, it suddenly takes a lot of time to load and ends up with "page not found" kind of a message. When I close the tab and open http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum in the next tab, i encounter the same problem again. I need to restart FF in order to solve the problem. I have never encountered such problems with other browsers (Opera, IE and Maxthon).
What kind of a problem is this?? What do I do........... I'm a typical FF fan and don't want to use other browsers but......... U see................

It happens if you are using the "Tweaked Network Settings", I think digit servers do not allow more than a certain number of requests from your side.

yes i am facing this problem for a long time. Suddenly, the pages stop opening... while in other browsers it works ok. I have been facing this problem from v1.0.

Lemme answer all Qs one by one...

First of all I dont think this is a FF problem at all.. Coz Digit servers get fully strained @ nyt when all come online...

To post a screenshot, first goto some Image Hosts like Image Shack ..
Then upload the file there. And post the [ img ] link given there.. Also remember to link them back..

I too have a problem loading the forum page, at times i am not able to do so for 4 to 5 minuits at a streach. Only solution i have is to take a walk come back and try again. One more thing i have noticed is that this problem is more when the number of on line members is > 25. I wonder why.

1. I do not press forward or backward button until whole page is properly loaded and status bar turns to idle from busy. [by doing this I have found problems to have minimized !!!]

2. If problem occurs, then close that tab / page and delete the cookie of that particular forum.
In opera there is no need to delete cookie but, click -> Tools -> preferences -> Privacy -> manage cookies -> www.thinkdigit.com
Now delete which looks like
PHPSESSID: d5cc939ede57ead102c51e67b13f5
now start a new tab/page and open the link, where you last struck.

P.S : Try this "just my 2 cents", if it works then ok, if that does'nt work, then, God bless you all
oh this is too much of a tension.........
The best solution is to use IE to browse digit forum.........
I've never gaced the problem in IE..........

Hey guys!!! Get the facts clear here..

Digit is unable to take the load during nyts, esp. weekend nyts when the traffic here reaches the peaks..

The fault is not with the browser...

Me with a BSNL BBand con. face the same prob both with FF and IE6...

It is about time Digit moved to another server which can handle the load...
