well
i dont means otherwise..
but real questions ...or serious..question seldomly gets solved in this forum now a days...
i think there are less good experts left in the forum
batty...and other experts ..those days use to be very good

now a days only ..website link...and other simple discussion question only gets solved...

no offence and hard feeling ..but what i feel as a old user

@Saharika

I do not agree with you in the matter !! I see lot of people are ready to help in most cases. The people changed, but there are guys who really help others.

Regarding your questions

I used Ghost and True Image, but both for same hardware / similar hardware I think. Wait for 2-3 days more and some experts will leave their comments.

i stand my by comments ..it was not out of fruastation or any thing ..just search for my name and it shows most of uncommon ?s there has been no replies...

i have in this forum as long as you have...

any way even in this..most of people doesnt seem to have any idea....
even this answe..i am asking for dissimalar hardware...i know ghost and true image works for same hardwares...

so i think ..very few real experts left...

i dont mean people here are unhelpful ...forum is great..but seems like experts have stopped coming to forums...i have experienced it other indian tech forums as well

most experts seems to be happy blogging..

who is saying you to prove your identity?Nobody.I have also faced problems regarding my queries(some of them are still unanswered) but it doesnt mean that i will blame the members here.If they dont know about the problem they wont post.
And if they dont post its obvious they dont know the solution. So its better to use the second option. www.google.com

Why can't you post in complete sentences. I have to read the replies to understand the meaning of your post. And what do you mean by "dissimilar hardware". Are you talking only about the hard disk? Or everything else too?

If the hardware is entirely different your system will just hang on boot. You will have to first boot to safe mode and uninstall the old/incompatible drivers, and then reboot to normal mode.

thanks for all replies
any way

NucleusKore
Well when i say dissimilar hardware i mean the system of which image is made has different processor and mother board than the system (computer) in which will the image will be copied to....

Kenshin
well it seems that we need to experiment a bit ..actually we have tested for similar hardware and in documentation it is said "similar hardware" ...so
any way thanks and will give it a try...

gaurav_indian
i am not blaming any one...i am just saying the forum has not been same ...(same level of expertize, traffic, activities etc)..that it used to have in the past around 2004-2005
may be it was initial enthusiam in people....or people have started being more commercial for blog adsense...
any way all good..
i am not blaming any one..the forum is superb and one of the best in india...

thanks
