Default how to remove new folder.exe virus from ipod?

Hi Team,
My ipod's got affected with virus - New Folder.exe. Need to kill it on the pod withOUT formatting it!
I searched this on the net, but most of the sites describe how to remove the virus from the system. This, I have already achieved using SDFix.exe (http://tec-updates.blogspot.com/2007...val-tool.html). Request you to help me kill this virus in my ipod as well.
Thanks.

Well, I just found out that once the system is clean, we can SHIFT+DEL all the files similar to "new folder.exe" in ipod. Thanks thecreativeboy for the linux suggestion - did not try it, but wud give it a try next time if this happens
