Default Missing space!!

i have a 160gigs segat with 5 partitions, an one of it is of 19.9GB(as reported by win. explorer).
now if i select all the files on it(hidden files viewing enabled), the size is shown as jus 11.~ GB...but the free space is jus 5.56 gb.....
ive used tuneup to view diskspace...it also reports tha mu files consume 11.~ gigs....then how come i have only 5.5 gigs free?

There are other files like those for system restore which are also there which are not shown unless you choose to see protected system files
