firefox hangs!! help

hi..

my firefox hangs very frquently.. its been such a trouble tat i have shifted to using IE nw.
it started wen i installed the campus edition of firefox. and some add-ons liek stumble.. after tat my firefox keeps hanging after a few mins of use. i tried installing other versions also.. evryone of them bt the problem is still the same.

plzz help..

adding addons in one go causes this.

Install them one by one and keep th necessary ones.

Are you using Firefox 3 beta 1?I think it has some stability issues.Mine also crashes frequently,even though i haven't installed any plugins.I too suggest switch to Opera.

You must be using firefox 2.5 consider upgrading it and it will work fine

i unistalled some add-ons. still its hangs (bt it happend jst after it upgraded itself )...

opera is an option.. bt i m nt sure if it has similar add-ons. wl miss firefox add-ons man.

Don't worry about plugins opera has all plugins inbuilt.Opera also has some advanced features like mouse gestures,speed dial etc.
Once you use it,you will forget firefox.

& which version of ff r u using ? post all details so as 2 get a solution quicker ....

k..here it is

add-ons installed:
1) stumble
2) flashgot
3) download helper
4) video download
5) download acelerator integrated
6) talk back

i tried using 2.0.0.11 and even older versions till 2.0.0.4.. bt still it hangs.
i unistalled stumblen n talkback.. still no help. rather nw it doesnt even starts!!

aare baaba re ..... long list ..... uninstall "download acelerator integrated" .... will solve ur problem ......

& did u delete ur OLD profiles 2 ....... if not then create a new 1 & then install 1 by 1 extensions & c .........

Good Problem
Either
Restart in safemode & then disable all extensions
Re-enble them 1 by 1
Use Flashgot or Downthem all instead of download acelerator integrated
Or
Install Mr. Tech local Install
Then make all extensions compatible wid it

@anzaan ...... old profiles = users .......

when u install ff, u create a default profile [username] ..... folder where ur cache\internet history is saved .......

delete that folder & create a new 1 ......

run dos prompt = cmd.exe = firefox.exe-profilemanager .......

i deleted all the profiles, most of the addons.. tat intgretion of download accceleraor... now it hasnt hanged yet...
i m just hoping for good...hehe..
