Default iTunes Alternative to sync iPod


I have a 30 GB video iPod, and im currently using iTunes 7.5.0.20. I want to know the different music managment applications which are avaiable supporting ipod.

I also want to know about the linux alternatives.

gtkPod for Linux. You also haf enhancements for amaroK, Rhythmbox etc.

@infra - he started it

in linux - i can say the best thing about linux is its ipod support no need of itunes or nething ...

just plugin ur ipod into ubuntu and rythm box opens it copy paste songs on the fly .... (iv tried from the ipod to the pc but not the other way till now)

personally for windows itunes is the best (though iv heard tht wmp11 is as good) ... i dont like yamipod for some reason

One more query, can I recover lost playlists from my ipod? I read some where that its possible to recover tracks but I dontknow playlists can be recovered
