hey ppl
i just created an xp live cd using bart pe builder as featured in digit take a crack
but i am not able to format my ntfs partition
is there any way to format ntfs partitions through dos mod(using 98 boot up disk) or through the bartpe live cd

AFIAK ntfs is not supported by 98 boot up disk ...And regarding bartpe i think you can format the NTFS partition.just issue the command 'format' in command prompt followed by the drive letter.

I also created a live XP CD a while ago. I was able to format NTFS partition. Try doing a FAT format for the disk. If this also fails then there is some problem with the live CD creation. You need to do it again.
If you want FAT partition then you can try any Linux Live CD.

^knoppix and other live cds support.they bundle ntfsprogs for formatting to ntfs afaik.and ntfs-3g allows read/write to ntfs.
