Website Modification !

Hey Guys..

I am coming back to these forums after a very looong time...

I have a kind of twisted question ....

I need to modify a website on the fly...not like downloading a html page,modifying it and then uploading it... I wont be modifying any flash images, pictures, graphics or anything....just normal text changes...

Any bright ideas ???

use a content management system like Joomla http://www.joomla.org

but you need to play around with it for some time to get acquainted with it

or if you want extreme control and want to stick with html and you are on a linux hosting with cpanel.. you can edit the html files directly using the File Manager's Basic Code Editor

You could ssh into your server and edit text via VIM editor, or by using the netrw plugin as:

vim ftp://user@domainname.com/path/to/file.ext

vim's netrw script supports http, scp, rcp etc as well.
