Default Network problem in Vista

I am get this strange problem where the Network Connections show multiple networks even though i have only 1 network connection through the lan card. Whenever this happens system can't connect to internet. I have to disable and enable the lan card to get it working again. It doesn't happen every time but occasionaly. The os Vista x64. See the pic for screenshot.

Any ideas on how to solve it ?
