Can I repair my Xp..?

Is it possable to repair my existing Windows XP from the bootable disc rather than installing a fresh copy of Windows...?
if it is possable then pls tell me how will i do that...?

i think i have a problem in my current OS specially when iam playing FIFA 07 after about one or two match suddenly a light blue screen apear and a bad sound from speaker...
i uninstalled fifa07 and installed it in a different drive but same prob again...

but this is not the case with other game like FIfa 08 or NFS carbon...
it is occering only in FIFA 07..

plz give me an idea how will i solve this problem...

Put the disc in the drive and boot from it

when u select install xp

windows seraches for previous installations and asks if u want to repair them

select repair

ur setting and files , programs will remain after repairing


some programs might lose their registry entries
