Post Microsoft support ????

Hey can somebody tell me whats the meaning of officially discontinuing the support for an os. eg: microsoft has stopped the official suppport for windows 95 & 98 (i suppose they have...) ........

That means there will be no more software updates and security fixes for those operating systems. Also technical support has been stoped for those OS
