Default Restrict User in VISTA


Guys i want my user profile ie admin to have all the privilege and another account to be restricted to 2 partition of my hard disk [i have 3 partition]
How can i do it?

download Disk Password Protection from http://www.exlade.com/downloads/ and than look around for the registration info. you can also search on http://www.demonoid.com

I think i should ask yöü first regarding vista or xp and post a thread

Ok saw it but a bit confused.
Ok i have three drives.c,d,e

Now i want to block e: and if possible a folder or two.

How to do it-

I saw the decimal and all but kinda confused.
Can yöü help?

^^ Nope. If you have NTFS parition, then you can restrict a folder with other users. Thats it.

Yep. You can restrict any user to access any drive/file in NTFS partitions. Enter in Properties and then you can do the thing in "Security" tab. Make sure that "Simple File Sharing" is disabled in "Folder Options", otherwise "Security" tab will not be visible.

i had a bitter expirience with simple file sharing ...
my os got corrupt i needed to install it again .. when i did i t didnt allow me to view those folder

is there anyother way ..

or is it ok with vista ???

^^ Seems you don't have sufficient permissions on that folder. Use following method:

Add Take Ownership Option in File / Folder Context Menu in Windows Vista
