how to stop this annoying pop up??????

hi,

i have vista ultimate and recently i have made some changes in startup programs. going through msconfig command, i unchecked those entries that dont need to be started at startup like yahoo msgnr, pc suite, quick time etc.... i will use it manually whenever i need it. but the issue here is that after doing this, there is a pop up msg at the taskbar, in extreme bottom right and it gives reminder that some program needs attention. this is really irretating me. if i have personally done the alternation, i need not be reminded. hence, how can i make this annoying pop up stop.

pop up displays:

"windows has blocked some startup programs.
windows blocks programs that require permission to run when windows start. click to view blocked programs."

these are known as balloon tips and i will say you how to disable them, but i had a small doubt with your msg actually what programs did windows blocking and did you installed any blocker or virus softwares recently

Disable balloon tips :

Go to start->run->regedit->HKEY_CURRENT_USER ->Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer \Advanced\
EnableBalloonTips

Here right click and change the value to 0

If the EnableBalloonTips icon is not present you just create a new dword value by right clicking and assign value 0 to it
