.net framework not getting installed

.net framework 1.1 is not getting installed... same problem with 2 and 3.....
what should i do???is it any service i accidently disable or any virus infection????
plz help.... programs that need .net framework not working

What error are you getting , If possible please post the screenshot of the error message.

i have installed the latest version of windows installer.. but even if i didn't older version .net framework 1.1 must work without the new version of windows installer.. isn't it???

Um. Are you by any chance using Windows 98?

Do get that unofficial 'Windows 98 Service Pack' which installs all the available updates and then try installing.
