today suddenly i saw that from my start menu "turn off computer" option has vanished , i dnt know why...!
whenn i am trying to restore my computer to an earlier time it is saying that "restoration incompleate" i tried with all restore point that are available but same results.

if any one has any solution for this plzz help me ..

Weird. . That happens even in normal XP Themes? Try switching back and test (if you haven't already)

you have installed Vista Transformation Pack ?? well I think u have clicked I agree on ToS of that theme pack in which it was said this type of problem may come

try and un-install the pack as seems the restoration points are currupted

no it is not a transformation pack,,
i got this theme from here in digit which was posted by visal gupta long time back... and iam using it for about 8month,,
but my problem started from today morning only...

one thing that i forget to mention is that..
today i saw a software is installed in my pc,, known as dealio toolbar 3.1.1
i dnt know how it is installed here...
but i removed it....
after that i noticed that my "turn off comp " opt is missing

Disable Windows System Restore... http://www.chotocheeta.com/2007/09/1...ystem-restore/ then download SpyBot SnD, http://www.spybot.info and use it with up2date diffination to scan and clean the PC

what AVS do u use ??

what is it relation with system restore...?

Windows is by default comes with System restore (Xp or later), system restore will keep backup of all softwares programs including if its a Virus / Spyware...

where as all Anti Maleware programs lik Antivirus, antispyware doesnt get permission to touch the System Restore directory... so even any AVS detects a treat running and cleans it, as soon as u reboot the Viruses usually comes back from the system rstore directory

when you close system restore, bydefault windows deletes all restore point hence any virus/malware stored there

so its recomended by microsoft to close system / turn of system restore if u are running full system scan

Download from http://www.spybot.info/ install update when u install as it would ask you to do then simply run a full system scan like a AVS it will detect any spyware if present and will clean it by it self

Bro open your registry from RUN i.e. regedit or regedt32
locate to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pol icies\Explorer
and find the DWORD called NoClose on the right hand side. Switch its value 1 to 0 or delete the DWORD.Restart your pc.You can also close and reopen your explorer.exe from task manager instead of restarting. hope this helps.

i got back my "turnoff" opt using spybot..
now one more thing...
after that.. whenever iam opening my pc..
my avg is detecting a virus.. a trojan horse...inside my temp folder...
iam removing it with avg.. but its coming back again.. on next computer start..

injfact my internet browsing speed is also getting bit slower...
