Default Antivirus is Vista?

Do i have to intsall antivirus in vista home premium? At Windows security centre,malware protection, it is written that windows do not find any antivirus in the computer. but spyware and malware is protected by windows defender. So which antivirus to use? is there any version of avg that will work on vista?

^^^

yes you do need AntioVirus for Vista...

AVG will work just fine with Vista

and about which one u should use ?? please search the forum as plenty of Thread already running in most you would find,

Free -> AVG / AVAST
Paid -> Kaspersky / NOD32 / BitDiffender

personally i suggest Kaspersky Internet Security which is. Rs. 850/- (OEM Pack) in Kolkata

I THINK LATEST VERSION OF AVAST is vista compatible check out www.avast.com for more details.and yes you need antivirus in whichever windows you use.

I stringly recommend avast as its personal edition is free to use and updation is very easy.
But if you wanna pay for your Antivirus than nothing beats Kespersky(I prefer nod32 but it is quite difficult to use and is costlier).

This indicates the list is not comprehensive.

Kaperesky Internet Security

Brand: Kaperesky
Category: Software
SubCategory: Anti Virus
Everythings seems to be in a mess there. Pic says KIS, Subcategory says AntiVirus, Brand name is spelled wrong, price is half of original KIS suite!

I think it must be KAV and not KIS.
