How to convert a PDF file to Word format?

I have a scanned file which is in PDF format which I want to convert into Doc(WORD) format so that I can edit it. What is the best software to do this?
Is it possible to convert a file which is scanned to a file which can be edited ?

Try using Total PDF converter . I am using it. It is very useful. I have backup but don't now how to give u.

Hi Friends Thanks for your responses.
I have my resume which was scanned and is now in PDF format. Now I want to edit some part of it. Ideally I would like to convert it into Word format (doc) and then edit it. I have used the above mentioned software to convert PDF to word but now I'm unable to edit the file in word document. I have found a similiar thread given below. If anybody can give me more details it would be good!
