Exclamation Disabling how?

I have got Windows XP Home Edition. If I uninstall any other softwares on my system, it will lead to some problem. Any way to disable the softwares without uninstalling them?

Does Kaspersky Internet security slow down both the System as well as the Internet speed?

Your opion and suggestion?

It all depends upon what you are uninstalling. If it's third party softwares which Windows doesn't depend on, then no problems at all. Go for uninstallation. Infact your system should speed up after removing them.

Any internet security suite should slow down the system. But in this web world, you can't compromise security. What is the amount of RAM you have? Then I can tell you whether KIS fits to your system or not.

U can uninstall any software, except OS(lozzzz)....and driver for hardwares(sound driver, display driver). Also don't uninstall windows components..which are installed with XP/vista.

No idea about Kaspersky internet security

ya there are many softwares which do not perfom complete uninstallation and you have to delete it mannualy. There are some who even tell u that the software has not been removed completely ans say u to perform mannually.

And for Kaspersky i have used it once but it ate my speed a lot. so i rtemoved it. you can try it out and see the response.

use cCleaner....and also try TuneUp 2007 (you can use trial version)....they will remove all unwanted entry from registry. Also defragment registry using tuneUp2007...after you have uninstall any software or cleaned registry.

That is enough for KIS. You have option of NOD32 too. There is a poll going on in the one of thread...check it.

First try uninstalling through Add/remove programs. But some times this process fails due to bad uninstaller of the software. In such cases proceed as follows:

1. Download Tweak UI from Microsoft website and use it to remove entry in "Add/Remove" program list.

2. Once you do that, the program entry in "Add/Remove programs" list disappears. This means you have cleared the main registry entry.

3. Now manually delete the installation folder from "Program files".

4. Delete short-cuts from "Start menu".

5. At last download and use "Ccleaner" to remove trash & unwanted registry entries left by the program.
