Default cmos settings wrong error

pl help
i am not able to boot into windows xp
when i try to boot message comes cmos settings wrong
when i go in bios and check cmos settings i found that date has been changed automatically to 3 yrs back. if i change the date and again start the system it works without any problem but if i shut down the system and again start the system same problem happen again.
pl try to solve my problem

if u hav already inserted a new cmos battery and still getting the error then u ll need to reset ur cmos once using a jumper...

First try changing CMOS battery..I think this sud solve your problem.
