Default Which player to use to view video files which have not completely downloaded?

Apart from VLC player are there any other players available which can play videos etc which are not completely downloaded from the net. VLC player sometimes works for files which have not completely downloaded, but not always. Does anyone know of any software or player to play uncompleted files like AVI etc?

There's Media Player Classic and GOM Player but the vital thing required by them is the first part (as in binary part, not .rar/.zip/etc part) of the video. Else you can hardly get them to play.

But the best ones are on Linux and they are Xine and MPlayer following it. Xine plays _anything_. Even corrupted ($^@#@ stuff. I don't know how.

But of course, one can't guarantee that for all files.

Yes, AVIPreview will play if its a video file.

If you are downloading the Video inside a RAR file, you can try: Dziobas RAR Player
