Unhappy XP not detecting my onboard lan anymore


well this is kinda shocking

Till friday morning my onboard LAN was working normally
But from friday afternoon windows is not detecting it at all

i checked BIOS , drivers , installed latest drivers from the net but in vain

its not there in device manager , no problem devices either

Enable View Hidden Devices in Device Manager and see if you can detect any problems.

Check if the relevant services are enabled in Admin. tools.

Please check properly that the hardware is still working or not.

it detects my onboard LAN in hidden devices ands its driver is working properly
but its not getting detected in network connections


which services in particular r u talking about

Can you post what all devices are there under Hidden devices concerning LAN?

Woops! Thats only the Realtek packet scheduler. It means that the network adaptor is not getting detected. Check the BIOS again. If its not disabled then there surely is some hardware problem. It doesn't show as a problem device either.

tried everything

hardware is not working at all

mobo not in warranty anymore so no replacement

good thing adsl router has usb support

if u need u can add an extra internal lan card will cost around Rs. 180-250
