restart problem

when i am restarting my computer it hangs after the screen displays "windows is shutting down".
i have formatted my system twice thinking it to be a problem of windows installation but the problem is still not solved

no this doesn't happen during normal shutdown.

Have a look in event viewer [control panel>administrative tools>event viewer] and look for any red icons there.
