want to install xp in hp laptop

i have just purchased hp laptop with vist premium bundled.

i want to install win xp in it. but it have only a drive. and second for recovery disk.

wher can i found its driver and software for its fringer print reader. for xp.
help me

goto www.hp.com and search for your laptop model no.
Also you might need Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver for windows xp to identify your sata harddisk. These drivers are available in hp site.

No, it does'nt. Have tried to install xpsp2 myself on my couzin's laptop, finally had to integrate sata drivers into xpsp2 using nlite.

its all secondery for me. first tell me that how can i can make more partition and install xp in it. then i will install my licence of vista.

split the partition or use partition magic/manager or Gparted for making a partition out of ur existing one. but backup your data first.

use gparted live cd and boot from it(make sure your pc iis set to boot from cd drive)
@azzu : Vista is crap, more and more users are switching back to XP after a bad xperince with Vista. I know its eye candy but the negatives outweighs the positives.
People want the os to be simple and usable. Hint:Win XP

be warned..
installing a new os on a laptop will cause a lot of trouble!!
i suggest u create a set of recovery disks using hp recovery before trying any of the steps...
