Default Lohgitec LED series 300 GB Harddisk problem


Hi frndz....

I have logitec LED external HDD of 300 Gb bought it from japan 6-7 months ago..... dont have waranty bills with me now.....

from last 1 months it giving problem like...whenver i format it it works fine for 2-3 tiomes....next time it just shows HDD got couruppted...and file system it shows as RAW.

Last time i have lost my all backup of lappy and system.

PLease suggest me whats the problem with my HDD.

will it be repairable....I dint partitioned it....should i ??

Yeah First of all ! use a Good Disk Management tool and Repartiton your drive.. if still the problem persists.. then Zero Fill it (fully) and then partition it and install Windows.. it will cure the problem. and you can also try to Update the MBR..

Hey frnd shantanu... will u please tell me which sw to use partition it and format it..

Is this problem exists due to ...lappy has NTFS and systemhas fat32....and access via both one by one creates problem??

Do you know a good recovety s/w ?? i have used a lot other but takes long time and scans only for images/docs...

no this problem cant be of NTFS or FAT32..both work cooly with each other..

Partition Magic is a nice software... Google it ..

search this forum for Recovery options..
