I want to change my user name....as my bro..accidentaly gave the symbols in the username which is creating lot of problems in installing application and running application from the desktop.

I am talking about user name...in c:\users\▐--▐

Just goto Control Panel >> User Accounts and rename ur user..

I already changed the name as you are suggesting........but no change appears in the c:\user\--- location......

wht can I do...I am using Vista Ultimate.....

No one to help me ???

Should I reinstall my OS again....to have new user name ???

I am not a vista user (Money problem)..so cant say exactly.
But I think you sud do this:
Create another user name of your choice, and give him full administrative power.

Reboot ur PC, select your new account to log in, and than delete ur old account.

Done

See..I have already told you.......I don't have vista experience (I don't have vista, because I don't have money to buy it)...But there will be no difference in two administrative account. Both should have same previalge and power.

But before deleting old account ..........make backup of "my documents",...of the old account.

if u create another account anf give it Administrator privialges then that user can do everything the administrator can do

der is no difference @ all in d powers of the 2 accounts

so as Ravi_9793 said create a new user and give it Administrator previlages

den login to d computer using the new account u created and delete d old Admin account
