Cant install Nero 6, Error:6 Invalid handle

I had nero 6 and using it for last 2 years. few days before i farmatted my system. now i want to install Nero 6. but while installing a message like
"An Error occured during copy processs.(file name: ) Error 6 The handle is invalid. Please reboot your computer"
i tried many times by rebooting pc. but problem persists. and its not the case that cd is having any scrach, curupt problem. cd is ok. there is no any major system change. i was using it previously without issue. please help i got it with sony cd writer. i have nero 7 got with sony dvd writer but i dont want nero 7. system has 256 ram, 2.66 pentium 4 windows xp with core auto patcher from Augest digit dvd.

that should work, if it doesn't sounds like you didn't format properly. did you install windows then drivers or use a windows image?

Dears, thanks for all ur suggestions. but sorry to say, i tried all those but problem didnt solved. any other solution. please help. win xp is installed properly and all drivers are also installed. i tried the nero clean up wizard.
but no use.

in order to install Nero you will need to get rid of:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\App Paths\NCoverEd.exe

from registry. Nero is looking at it during the installation and for some reason
if it is there (maybe the problem is with mismatched paths) then installation fails.

Do registry editing at your own risk..
