How to convert a video dvd into video cds without reducing quality

tell me how can i convert a video dvd to video cds without reucing its quality and also so tht i can use that video cds on my cd player without any problem..

tell me which software should i use for this purpose..

Plz consider that i dont want to reduce quality and clarity of video

You can't. As per standards, DVD standard (mpeg-2) supports for higher resolution and better sound (bitrate and channel wise)than VCD (mpeg-1). Buy a new DVD player, you'll get a DivX/XviD compatible DVD player for Rs. 3500 now.

2. Encode the ripped DVD to whatever you want (VCD/SVCD/DVD) with Avi2DVD
