Windows media player problem

Im unable to view wmv files in windows player. I can play other video files with no problem. but few files I can hear sound and can see video also but video is with blue, red, green colors only. I cant see above mentioned wmv file in normal colors. I can play watch same wmv file in VLC player with no prob. My os is WinXP sp2/Windows media player 9.
Please help. I also even cant fast forward this wmv video file. But I'm able to see it in VLC, even i can fast forward in VLC. ButI want to use windows media player... Please help...

d fact dat u able to play it normally thru VLC means dat in all likelyhood u facin codec issues

try re-installin d codec pack (after completely uninstallin d older 1)
hopefully it will solve ur problem

assumin d codec pack installs ffdshow, assign it 2 decode WMV files

den usin d VFW interface assign libavcodec to render d WMV video
