Default What to do with 402 MB of Win Updates ?

Ok yesterday i updated my windows for the first time. There were like 89 updates downloaded/installed. Now when these updates are installed i dnt knw what to do with almost 402 MB of files in

C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Can i delete them n free up the space ? Or they r needed in future too ?

Also now whenever i turn on my pc, it would just kindda stick at WELCOME screen for 1-2 minutes. Used to boot fast before the updates

IMHO u can safely delete those files without facin ne issues

but just to b safe, i suggest dat u move dem to a diff location and check it out 4 a couple of day (just 2 b tottaly safe )
